The team at Camden Sierra have all been great but this review is for Jessica in particular. She is very friendly and was always available for any questions I had. She was reliable and made what first felt like was going to be a stressful move very easy. My home is the perfect size for me and I love the pool.

8. Nasty unclean stair which are cleaned only once in several months?

DO NOT MOVE HERE! It SMELLS LIKE POOP HERE, THERE'S RATS, PARKING SUCKS, CONSTANT CAR BREAK-INS and PACKAGE THEFT, FORCED TO PAY FOR TRASH PICK UP SERVICE EVEN IF WE DON"T WANT IT!
And CAMDEN DOES NOTHING ABOUT IT!
Poop
A lot of residents do not pick up after their dogs here and it constantly smells, I've seen it for myself where they will let their dogs poop in the dog relief area and not use the poop bags provided for residents in the dog poop stations. So DISGUSTING.
Rats
Oh also disgusting I had to ask Camden to trim the over grown bushes near a dog relief area and beg them to place rat traps because at night I spotted a rat that kept trying to come in to my patio -______- .
Theft
Packages and food deliveries are always delivered to the wrong apartments or stolen. There's been posts about residents catching other residents stealing their packages on their Ring cameras.
Parking
Parking is the worst here too with constant car break-ins. I don't understand how there are so many packages stolen and car break ins when there are security guards at the gate before coming into the community. Oh but then there is an old security guard that gives Camden residents a hard time about coming in without a "Camden sticker" when only one is provided by Camden and I have two cars. SO ridiculous that I have to be given a guest pass to come into my own community where I pay a very high rent, after 10 minutes of waiting in a 5 car wait line at a "security" checkpoint.
Camden Parking Tickets
Camden also does this stupid thing where they write their own tickets. xD RIDICULOUS! I don't understand how employees have more parking then residents and are able to write tickets? I had one Camden Employee go off one day because I parked in his spot when I was checking my mail. He flipped out and started cussing literally saying it was "his spot" (skinny middle eastern guy who could barely speak English) how convenient that the spot was marked for "visitors" but I guess Camden Employees get their own parking spots inside the complex while us, the renters, who pay their salary are forced to park outside. If Camden tries telling you there's an extra $35 a month for parking spots or a garage, well good luck getting on that waitlist.
Valet Trash or NO TRASH PICK UP
One more thing, have you guys heard of "Valet Trash pick up"? sounds great right? They come and pick up the trash you leave at your door every night?.... Well it's NOT! These trash guys pick and choose when they want to pick up your trash, I've had my trash bags out there perfectly tied up and they decide when they want to take it. Once they decided not to take it because who knows why, they left me a notice that wasn't even filled out as to why they didn't pick it up!
LIZ THE WORST EMPLOYEE
and I'm surprised LIZ is still employed here she is the WORSE CAMDEN EMPLOYEE, extremely rude so fake too! In front of new resident she'll be nice but god forbid you need something, she treats residents like crap and acts like she owns these apartments. LIZ YOU DO NOT OWN CAMDEN, OUR RENT PAYS YOUR SALARY! Remember that.
THEFT IN COMMUNITY FEES
Not to mention that the gym was closed for almost a year and no where was there a discount or anything of the sort for the community fees.

Update:
We moved out, and what a relief it is! Our health was substantially jeopardized. Yes, not sleeping and being stressed for several months take a toll on your health. I started to have high cholesterol (that is taking into account i eat healthy and exercise), my husband pre-diabetes stage.
We are so happy to move out from this place.
One of our neighbors above apologized to us for the noise, however interestingly enough, he was not the one who was making the noise.
The person who did make the most noise, never came to apologize. He knew we have a small child, yet, was so inconsiderate.
PM did not help here at all but made more problems for us.
Again, I would NOT NOT recommend this place especially for families.
Do yourself a favor - please read reviews, do not move in here unless you have no where else to go and it is the last place in San Diego (that happened to us as we were moving here in a rush and did not do our due diligence). Just because you [business manager] leave a comment here stating by "please contact us by phone number and email" - does not mean anything. We have contacted office several times, went to tenant many times, no resolution. There is no sound proof in these poorly built apartments. You can bring a person out of the village, you can't take out the village out of that person - that is exactly what is this community about.
Thankfully to my job, I get attorney fees paid, so I will be filing a small court case as PM did not provide any accommodation or resolved this matter.
Thank you for not resolving this and creating problems for yourself.
If you don't mind:
1) shit laying around and stinking everywhere
2)smell of urine
3)huge dogs barking around and not on leash coming towards you and your baby
4)seeing people having low life and trashing around
5)tenants making fire on the balcony ( i know, right?)
6)tenants making noise when you go to sleep and... DURING the night (yes every night we hear how a tenant above us "goes to work" at 2.30am)
7)property management not giving a sh** about your complaints....
Then it is a place for you! Good luck staying here :)

RYAN L. Is one of the most professional and friendly Leasing Agents that I have met during my search for a new apartment in the Eastlake Area.
Ryan went above and beyond for me in regards to helping me through the application process, and reached out to the necessary people to help the transition go smoothly.
Ryan greeted me at the door with a smile; I could hear it in his voice as he, of course, he was wearing a mask. Ryan answered every question I had (which was a lot of them), and we all know how hard that can be in 90 degree weather , while wearing a mask, and climbing stairs to the 2nd floor.
I toured Camden earlier today, as I previously lived there in 2012. They have done a great job remodeling it, and really bringing it into 2020. The pool was sparkling, they are renovating the club room, and the gym was looking awesome (although not open because of our bestie, Covid.)
Parking spaces are assigned: you get either one outside space or single car garage when you rent, but can purchase another space monthly.
It was quiet, well landscaped, and they have Balet Trash (you get a small trash bin to place outside your door and they haul it away daily). There is a built in price of $25.
Cox cable is also an included cost of $100/month.
Overall, this is a beautiful community in Eastlake. MTS runs a bus line through there in the newly designed middle lanes there. Sharp Reese Stealy medical building is a block away as well as a gas station a few blocks away.
There is an awesome park with a pond across the street, and other small shops along the way.

I visit my boyfriend who lives here a lot and let me just tell you it is terrible. I have received two parking violations because i forgot to display my guest pass or because it was barely expired (by a day). The leasing off states that we need to go to the office if we need a pass which is understandable but I work 12-9 shifts when the office is CLOSED and there is no security standing at the check in half the time. So what do I do then? Let me be clear I was in the wrong so yes I deserve those violations. But what about the other cars around me that also have NO pass or permit. I have yet to see a violation on their windshields. It just seems like you're out to get only ME because you recognized my car after ONE mistake I made. This isnt the only issue with this property (poop everywhere, trash everywhere, etc). Do better Camden!

They won't give you back your security deposit. They start making things up that you damaged. Such as painting to take your money. They charge stupid fees for example for someone else to take out the trash and they don't pick it up. You end up doing it instead because you get tired of it sitting there. They don't enforce people picking up after their dogs, so you step on dog shit when walking. I can go on and on! They take advantage of the military by kissing ass the first day you walk in and after that they don't address any of your concerns. They claimed my cat destroyed the carpet. When my cat is lazy and doesn't do any scratching. And I checked before I left. The price is not worth the head ache you'll be getting! I paid 2,500 a month for a 1 bedroom 1 bath and a parking spot that wasn't even close to your apartment.

I recently moved in a few months ago, and it has been fantastic. Employees do all they can to provide great service to the tenants. I lived here in 2011, and my what a great upgrade in the units and the gym. I looked and toured at other complexes and I could not justify theirs fees compared to Camden. Also, I like to wear basketball shorts and a tank top majority of the time, and other complexes that I toured were rude and judgmental with how I look. Mohammad and Liz, saw pass what I wore and never judged me with what I was wearing. They didn't bring up what salary range I need to be in in order to be approved for a unit. I do like to dress down a lot, especially during COVID, lol. I digress...
The other complexes I looked into were nice, but had expensive options such as extra parking, garage, etc. A complex nearby had to pay extra for parking that was not even assigned. So I commend camden for having assigned parking and less fees for an additional assigned parking spot.
I'm only giving it a 4 star because of those trash bins south of the entrance. They are definitely taking up some parking spots. Lol. Other than that, it would definitely be a 5 star!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information
