      Very disappointed in HCA and The Arbors in Santee. They are snakes always looking for a way to come up on families and individuals. We have lived at The Arbors before and this last time being the WORSE experience of them all. 2 days prior to us moving in we were called and told that the unit we had chosen was not ready and needed to have the balcony fixed and that would take an additional week or two. They offered a different unit that they advised was ready for move in the next day so we made the decision to switch units. We moved in July 2023 and in August 2023 we had received a notice that they would be working on our balconies, front and back, and that we would not have access to our washer and dryer for one month. Not understanding why the balcony would not have been done prior to someone moving into the unit I called HCA and spoke with Anna. I raised my concerns over not only the inconvenience that this would cause but also the safety concern I had as we were missing the front part of our balcony and the sliding glass door was not even secure and with children that was very alarming. Anna called me back and told me that they would be done that Friday and they definitely were not. They did not finish our unit until 2 weeks before we moved out November 16th 2023. Fast forward to move out we received our pay or quit notice in November and instead of dealing with an eviction process decided we were going to move out as we had 2 previous times. We did a walk-through with Rachel our property manager and she told us the only charge we would experience was a cleaning fee and carpet cleaning fee (although our carpet was never replaced at move in we were having to pay for previous stains coming up). Today we spoke to the department that issues the statements of what is owed or what the person is receiving and we were told we would owe $1,570. Confused I took over the conversation and requested to have concerns answered the lady talking with us was very unhelpful and would not answer any of our questions. She did tells us we owe rent until December 16th 2023. Since before we have lived there we have never been charged an additional 30 days! I am angered at how this all went down but more so in the lack of customer service and lack of care for their residents to not even care about safety concerns. I was sick in October and woke up to a maintenance worker in my house telling me he had a right to come in and check the smoke alarms. There was no prior notice and I asked him to leave and come back at another time he refused and remained in our apartment I kept asking him to leave and he said I would have to take it up with the apartments and he continued to work. I called the apartments and they were rude and did not care that I had asked their worker to leave my house numerous times and he wouldn't.

      I applied for one of their units a few weeks ago and was approved however the unit we applied for was taken. We had paid the security deposit so we could get the unit we requested but since it was already being rented, the manager gave us another one. We requested a refund when she told us the unit we wanted was not available and now she is arguing that we cannot get our money back because we were approved. How are we not going to get our money back when the unit we were promised is taken???? Not only that but the manager gave us attitude and was very uncooperative when we spoke to her over the phone!

      Unbelievable- now you have to pay $75 more every six months to renew plus you will be charged water and sewage separately, not in the price of the rent. My salary hasn't gone up and housing prices are outrageous, so we're stuck.

      I live in their unit at Creekside Village in Escondido. The Management here is terrible as is the corporate office. They are making millions off consumers who have to rent and can't afford luxury apartments. Sub par repairs and living conditions. Even a rat would not live here.

      Horrible!!! Do not rent from their properties! I moved out on May 11th and have yet to receive my security deposit. The manager Dio lied and said I did not provide my forwarding address which was a complete lie. If that were true why would you not call or email me which they had on file. I had to call the corporate office to get any response and even then I keep getting the excuse of "they are working on it".

      The receptionis Brenda t is a answers the phone all the time she's always very helpful ,When you ask questions or call them out on request orders they get petty.

      Jennifer Wright is the most unprofessional woman I have ever spoke with, VERY INEXPEREINCED CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS . Blanca the VP NEVER RETURNS messages, its like you have to be on their asses to get anything done. The ONLY Person that has it together is MIKE the PRESIDENT.

      Worst company to work for. Blanca, Angelina and Victor think they are the Gods of this company and get rid of you as soon as they want to. They have been there forever. Everyone fears them. The system they use never works. Not one is professional at all is all about political. If they like you you stay a little longer but with they're rules of whispering and not getting along with others. These three should be fired so the company can have a fresh atmosphere.

      The worst place to rent from! Literally management sucks and no one heard you out. You can complain about whatever and they don't care. They only care about money. They raise rent illegally don't trust them

      I have lived at the dorchester apartments (a HCA managed property) for two years now and have had nothing but unrelenting problems. I have been communicating to resolve an issue for over 3 weeks now and have made at minimum 10 phone calls, and 6 emails. My roommate and I have had the experience from hell with this management company. We recently received an intent to enter for maintenance on our property (we were not informed what for) we came home to an entire closet of our belongings thrown around the living room and laid across the floor, we were not notified they needed access to the breaker and were extremely uncomfortable with strangers going through our things. Well what started off as a one day issue turned into 4 full days with interment electricity, completely effecting my work schedule and the items in my refrigerator, and then another 4 days of workers in and out of our unit. We even had workers come on a saturday and got no notice from the management company which is a breach of our lease and rights as tenants. Needless to say we tried voicing our concerns to Jen at the property and essentially got yelled at told how much work she has and a handful of excuses on her inability to perform her job. She was extremely unprofessional and seemed to even lack the general ability to listen. So then we spoke with Wendy on a Friday and expressed our concerns and frustrations to her regarding not only the maintenance and lack of communication but Jen's unprofessionalism. She assured me we would hear back from her the following Monday. I had to call everyday of that week Monday tuesday and weds until finally Thursday I recieved a response from her. It is clear that a lack of follow through, professionalism and competence are a COMPANY WIDE issue and not a single complaint was taken seriously. After essentially wasting hours of my time for this whole incident my roommate and I were offered 150 dollars of compensation. That doesnt even cover the food I had to throw out of my fridge (due to the electricity being off for multiple days) let alone the 8 days of us dealing with people in and out of our apartment, our belongings being disrespected, and the amount of my own time i have taken away from working have to find resolution to this issue. I would not suggest anyone live at a property this company manages, it is clear that it is completely disorganized and has no regard for the tenants at the properties they manage. The Attached photo is how my apartment was left by maintenance workers. RANSACKED
