Thank you to South County EDC for hosting us alongside Mayor Paloma Aguirre of Imperial Beach, CEO of Dalton Motors Juan Carlos Rodriguez VILLAVA to discuss critical needs for our binational community at the “Crossroads of the Economy” panel at the SCEDC Economic Summit. Together we discussed the need for strong educational partnerships, a workforce pipeline, multi sector approach to bilateral cooperation, youth development, and binational finance mechanisms to accelerate project delivery and economic resiliency.

Amid higher education uncertainties, our exploration of space utilization becomes even more vital. An interactive session with Cordoba Corporation’s Deborah Wylie went beyond theory, exploring tangible efficiencies. Thought leaders were invited to join in on our discussions on schedule optimization, ensuring spaces are right- sized, and the myriad benefits that come with strategic space use and assignment.

The Chamber welcomed L.A. County Supervisor, Fifth District, Kathryn Barger for Accenture Pancakes and Politics. Guests in attendance were able to engage the Supervisor Barger on several topics, including homelessness, adding more support for mental health services in addition to prioritizing safety and resources on L.A. In partnership with ACEC CA Bay Bridge Chapter, WTS San Francisco Bay Area, San Francisco County Transportation Authority, and San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SMTA), Cordoba team members participated as a panelist in the Spring Girls Summit, an event that centers on supporting high school girls pursuing a career in transportation and help build the transportation workforce of the future!

Cordoba Corporation is seeking an Administrative Assistant with outstanding communication and organizational skills, who will support the Long Beach Bond Management Team in the daily reporting, communications, operations, coordination, and general administrative needs of the Bond Program.

Cordoba team members had the opportunity to hop into electric vehicles and experience them in action at the third annual SDG&E EV Fleet Day! Local companies with EV offerings and funding agencies showcased their EV services, charging infrastructure, software solutions, and more.

Feels like just yesterday we joined Long Beach City College to break ground for a future state-of-the-art music and theatre complex at the Liberal Arts Campus—and here we are just months later, celebrating the topping out! Can’t wait for the ribbon cutting!
