Chula Vista Water Sports

Great place to go kayaking one of my favorite areas! We had a great time! Great service and friendly, funny, knowledgeable staff

I was in San Diego for a few days, so I figured it'd be a good opportunity to finally get around to kayaking. We called around to a couple of different places to book a tour ahead of time, and this is one of the few places that actually picked up. Customer service was great with them and the prices are a great deal. We rented a tandem kayak (two people) which was $25 for 1 hr, but they also have single kayaks too and other water sports (see pic!). The area you meet at is a very open space, plenty of parking. It's got a nice bathroom nearby too, and an area where you can wash your feet off if it gets sandy. Bring an extra pair of pants, or a towel to place down in your car because your pants will get wet! You can take off your shoes and they'll watch it at the shore a waterproof bag you can take with you on the kayak to keep your phone and etc dry. It was my first time kayaking and Micheal, the owner and the person who was helping us out that day, did a great job of explaining everything. He was a pretty chill guy and accommodating, and definitely helped to ensure that safety was a priority. They hold eco-tours during the weekend, so I've booked it for a Saturday. Unfortunately the water was too turbulent that Michael said we wouldn't be able to do the eco-tour, but luckily the area is right by the estuary in Chula Vista that we got to go a little bit closer to it and hear some fun facts and see some bird and fish. I definitely recommend calling or texting ahead of time to book with him, but definitely just an option to go there and ask about rentals too. Next time I find myself in San Diego with some free time, definitely going to check out their other water sports too!

AMAZING people! Michael and his whole crew were so nice and made me feel so comfortable. I was nervous as I had never paddle boarded before, and went here with my son and his friend. Michael is just the nicest and so accommodating. We all had a blast, and I will definitely come back with my son to try out the different things like kayaks, etc. Customer service goes far with me, and you can't beat the way Michael treats his customers. HIGHLY recommend this place if you want to do some water sports!

Yesterday I rented a standup paddle board with an on ground lesson. It was an amazing experience, not only was it fun, but Mike made me feel really comfortable before going into the water. He was really kind and wanted to make sure everyone felt safe. My friends and I felt really confident after our on ground lesson, and had a great time in the bay. I would recommend this location and service to anyone, and look forward to coming back soon! Thanks Mike!

Went out in a kayak with my son. Was a great time. I grew up in Chula Vista and to see the bay looking in from out in the water was really cool. I definitely recommend for all locals and anyone visiting. In all this was an easy and fun activity for my kid and me. Thanks Mike you made this a great memory. Also want to point out the great customer service and positive engagement.

Would 100% recommend to anyone trying to go Kayaking in San Diego. You get a beautiful view while getting a nice little exercise. The guy who runs the company is very down to earth and helpful in assisting you with everything. They are dog friendly as well. Will definitely go here again. 5 stars for sure.
