Been thrifting a lot more lately and I didn't realize how many thrift stores were around Chula Vista! This Goodwill is probably my favorite though, for several reasons:
1. I've copped the most from this location compared to any other thrift store
2. Some of my favorite finds are from this Goodwill
3. They have a GREAT selection, organized better than most, and if you really pay attention to the decor all around it's really neat and color coordinated
4. The staff is friendly and most of the time try to remind you of any discounts you might be able to apply at check out like if you are in the military or a student... gotta get those savings you feel me???
Overall I enjoy coming to this location. It's also close to other thrift stores and many other shops and restaurants in case you need to grab some grub or run any other errands while on a thrifting break!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 30, 2023
Recommend: Absolutely.
Really quite impressed as far as the Goodwill companies go. Having seen so many Goodwill's across the country, what is impressive is both inside as well as outside. The entire buildings, exterior and interior were immaculately clean beyond my surprise. The interior looks like a professional department store, which I commend the management for ensuring such a professional look. To be honest, many Goodwill stores just simply look, very, very poor visually. I do recommend this place because they balance their articles being used and several new items as well culturing costs straight to the public. The coordination of all items for clothing with the rack toppers being neatly aligned with all the shoes, clearly shows effort and coordination at this facility.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 1 - Feb 21, 2024
This large, well-stocked, and well-organized Goodwill is probably the coolest I've ever been in. It's more like a large boutique, with items arranged in colorful displays throughout the store. I thought the prices are a little high, though. Opened puzzles, for example, seemed to start at $5.99. Worth a stop if you have a lot of time, as there is a lot to see!

I don't know when they decided to raise all the prices, but honestly, you can go to Marshall's, Ross, TJMaxx, and even Walmart lol, and buy new for the same prices from what I saw here. They get ALL of this stuff donated to them. For FREE! c'mon
So for the most part, the store is OK if you wanna kill time and want to roll the dice to see if there are still bargains out there. The store is well organized and merchandised by size, color, and type of item. The displays are tasteful, and you can tell they work hard to present everything nicely. The fitting rooms were open, and they still offer 10% military and student discounts. However, they're not my first choice for bargains anymore.Helpful 12Thanks 1Love this 10Oh no 0 - Nicole W.Orange, CA249342943Jul 14, 2023

Within the past years I've been more and more interested in vintage fashion I highly recommend this place always have the pleasure shopping in peace.
I visit Goodwill 1-2 times a week if I can I commute around the area and is now a part of my weekend run.
They sell more than clothes it's is a donation window shopping after all so you can find new and used furniture, kitchen ware, home decore *holidays, and other nicknacks such as toys, sunglasses, blankets, rags, etc. Shop as often as you can to find what you like first come first serve.
I also recommend shopping with Goodwill app as it provides bidding on any and more you could imagine.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Arn M.San Francisco, CA0104Apr 28, 2022
This has to be one of the worst organizations in America today. I tried today to donate an almost new General Electric clothes washer and they would not accept it. Whatever reason they might give me, I can't find any reasonable explanation why a charity wouldn't accept charity. I saw that they sell stuff for $1 to $3 and take up room this washer they could have easily sold for over $150 to $200.
The CEO made over $1.2 million last year while paying their employees minimum wage.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Robert M.Chula Vista, CA86710Dec 22, 2021
The bigotry at still prevailing. Still getting the same nasty looks. I was told to leave my camelbak water hydration pack behind the counter (filled with Gatorade) very abruptly. I look around and saw three other individuals wearing large backpacks and nothing was said to them. I don't know why they seem to target certain people they feel are morally unacceptable.... I travel a lot picking thrift stores and estate sales and it seems only Chula Vista I get these horrible vibes from. One would think they would welcome frequent buyers with money but they seem to be operating in another universe.
It really comes down from the top management who creates a pleasant shopping experience or a negative one.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Ness S.Chula Vista, CA033Mar 21, 2022
Little long post but worth it. I've been thriftin at this Goodwill for awhile. It always looks clean and has great displays. Recently noticed how the new employees there are very helpful and super nice. My daughter got her first apartment and we wanted to see what we could find. As soon as we walked in there was a interesting glass bubble lamp and wanted to test it. A very helpful young man named Mikey located light bulbs so we could check it. I think he must've brought 2 -3 different ones because it wasn't working. Unfortunately it was the lamp. He immediately asked us if we still wanted it, took it to his manager and gave us a discount. We happily purchased it hoping it would be a easy fix. Two other employees also happily helped us with other items we found. Checking out now Mikey wrapped our treasure securely and even offered help out.
Great news got the lamp home and re-wired it good as new.
Thank you all for a great experience at your store, we'll definitely be back!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kayla C.San Diego, CA194104Mar 6, 2022
This is one of the most expensive Goodwill's in all of San Diego and probably one of the most expensive Goodwells I've ever been to they are selling things at more of a boutique pricing but non-boutique items.
I don't understand why this particular goodwill is supporting Arizona but it's located in Chula Vista California? They still have not open their changing rooms or the restrooms to the public so you can't even try on clothes when you go there and the items are usually about 6 to 9 dollars per item and you're paying that for clothing you cannot try on and it's not fair to the customers. COVID-19 is not an Excuse everyone in the store is walking around without a mask but you close the bathrooms due to Cove at 19 and the changing rooms what does that have anything to do with Covid please management make some sense of this?!?!?Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0
